The Future of Timeless Prom Is Under Review

This year, Timeless made the decision to host prom across two separate evenings in an effort to better manage attendance, improve supervision, and create the best possible experience for our students.

What we witnessed across those two nights was a striking contrast.

Friday night reflected everything Timeless strives to create, a respectful, joyful, elegant atmosphere where students celebrated responsibly, treated one another with kindness, and represented the homeschool community beautifully. It was exactly the kind of evening that reminds us why Timeless exists.

Saturday night, however, presented serious behavioral concerns that cannot be ignored. Our team encountered repeated rule violations, unauthorized guests, reckless conduct, and behavior that created significant safety and liability concerns for our organization, volunteers, and attendees.

For several years, Timeless leadership has worked to address growing behavioral issues at large scale events through stronger expectations, increased supervision, and repeated warnings. Unfortunately, this year made clear that our current model may no longer be sustainable.

At this time, the future of Timeless Prom remains uncertain.

We have not yet made a final decision regarding future Proms. However, one thing is clear. If Timeless continues offering a spring formal experience, it will not return in its current form.

Future events may involve:

• A significantly smaller attendance model, potentially capped around 250 students
• A reimagined spring formal experience, which may be offered by grade division, such as 8th through 10th grade, to create a safer and more intentional environment
• Verified ticket purchasing, including photo identification or selfie verification at registration
• Non transferable tickets tied directly to a verified identity
• Professional paid security inside the venue, with law enforcement support onsite
• Security video monitoring in public event areas for safety, accountability, and incident review when necessary
• Stronger supervision, stricter conduct expectations, and immediate removal for serious violations
• A more intentionally structured event model built around safety, respect, and community standards

One thing is certain moving forward. Timeless will be implementing stronger accountability measures at all major events. Timeless will no longer operate on an honor system alone.

With verified ticket registration, identity based check in, professional security, and security video monitoring in public event areas, serious misconduct will be documented, addressed, and acted upon.

Students who choose to violate event rules, endanger others, or undermine the experience for fellow attendees should understand that future accountability measures will make serious violations far easier to identify and enforce.

For many years, Timeless has tried to lead with trust, grace, and the belief that young people, when given something special, will honor it.

We extended trust, and some people treated that trust like there were no boundaries.

That has been hard to witness, not because rules were broken, but because it places something meaningful at risk for the many respectful students who show up for the right reasons.

Please hear this clearly: Timeless is not giving up on you.

But moving forward, trust will be matched with stronger boundaries, clearer expectations, and greater accountability.

Our mission has always been to create meaningful, beautiful experiences for homeschool students, but those experiences must also remain safe, respectful, and sustainable for the volunteers and families who make them possible.

To the many students who represented our homeschool community with grace, maturity, and respect on both Friday and Saturday night, thank you. Your example is exactly what Timeless was built to celebrate.

We also recognize an important truth. Often, it only takes a small number of students making poor choices to place an entire event at risk for everyone else. That reality is heartbreaking for the many respectful young people who attend Timeless events for the right reasons.

Please know this. Timeless remains committed to serving those students. Whether through prom in a reimagined form or through new event experiences designed with greater structure and support, our mission to create meaningful opportunities for homeschool teens will continue.
