Sensory Friendly Prom

We are thrilled to announce that in 2026, Timeless Homeschool Events Huntsville and Timeless Homeschool Cullman will team up to host our first-ever Sensory-Friendly Prom!
At Timeless, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to create special memories. While our traditional prom offers an energetic, high-energy experience with lively music, bright lights, and a bustling crowd, our Sensory-Friendly Prom will be designed with a quieter, more comfortable atmosphere in mind. We are passionate about making sure every student has a magical prom experience that feels welcoming, inclusive, and joyful.
Stay tuned for updates on the Prom Theme and Tickets — and get ready to dance, sparkle, and celebrate in a way that's just right for YOU.
Sensory-Friendly Prom – April 18, 2026
Location: The Grand Hall At Early Works Museum, Huntsville, AL
6pm-10pm
Ticket Info & Theme Announced August 2025
We’re proud to introduce our first-ever Sensory-Friendly Prom—a thoughtful, inclusive experience designed especially for autistic and sensory-sensitive teens.
Unlike our traditional homeschool proms, this event is intentionally smaller, quieter, and gentler in every way to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable evening for those who may find typical prom settings overwhelming.
What Makes This Prom Sensory-Friendly?
-
Low Crowd Size:
Attendance is capped at a smaller number to ensure the space never feels overcrowded. Guests can move comfortably and avoid overstimulation. -
Lower Volume Music:
We’ve adjusted the sound levels to create a dance environment that’s fun but not overwhelming. Music will be softer, and bass tones will be minimized. -
Quiet Spaces Available:
Designated calm zones will be available throughout the venue for anyone needing a break from the activity. These areas will include soft seating, dim lighting, and fidget tools. -
Flexible Dress Code:
Whether you want to dress up or come in something more comfortable, you are welcome! Wear what makes you feel good. -
No Strobe Lights or Flashing Effects:
Lighting will be soft and sensory-friendly—no flashing or strobing lights. -
Supportive Staff and Volunteers:
Our prom team is trained to support sensory needs with patience and kindness. If you need help during the event, someone will be nearby to assist.
Who Is This For?
This prom is designed for autistic, neurodivergent, or sensory-sensitive teens who would benefit from a quieter, more comfortable environment than a traditional prom.
Teens should be able to participate with minimal assistance. If your teen requires close supervision or a one-on-one caregiver, please contact us before registering so we can make sure the event is a good fit and discuss any support needs.

Springtime In Paris
Step into the romance and beauty of Paris in the springtime—where soft lights, gentle music, and elegant décor create an enchanting evening just for you. Designed with sensory-friendly accommodations in mind, this prom offers a warm, welcoming environment for all homeschool teens to celebrate in comfort.
Enjoy a night filled with Parisian charm: twinkling lights reminiscent of the Eiffel Tower, blooming florals, and cozy spaces to relax or socialize. The dance floor will feature carefully balanced lighting and sound levels, while quieter areas will provide room to recharge. Guests can expect delicious themed refreshments, photo opportunities against elegant Paris backdrops, and a safe, inclusive atmosphere that makes everyone feel at ease.
Springtime in Paris offers all the joy of prom without the overwhelm creating memories as timeless as the City of Light itself.
T.H.E. Attendee Guidelines & Rules

Music will be played at a low volume throughout the event to create a calm atmosphere. For those who are especially sensitive to sound, we will have a limited number of noise-reducing headphones available to borrow.
Attendees are also welcome to bring their own noise-cancelling headphones or earplugs for added comfort. Our goal is to make sure everyone can enjoy the evening in a way that feels right for them.
To ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable event for all, the following rules must be followed by every attendee and volunteer. By entering the event, you agree to these guidelines:
Dress Code-
We understand that clothing can sometimes be a sensory challenge. While this event is a formal prom, our priority is that every attendee feels comfortable and included.
-
Guests are encouraged to dress in formal or semi-formal attire if they are able.
-
However, sensory comfort comes first—if traditional formal wear is difficult, you are welcome to choose clothing that feels good to you.
-
Dress shoes, ties, or gowns are not required if they cause discomfort. Neat, clean, and comfortable clothing is perfectly acceptable.
The goal is for everyone to enjoy the evening with confidence and ease, without stress about clothing.
Attire must be secure and appropriate. Clothing should fully cover all private areas while walking, dancing, or jumping. This is our one non-negotiable standard for attire.
Prohibited Items
Weapons, vapes, cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs are strictly forbidden.
Attendees carrying mace or pocket knives must check them in at the Help Table upon arrival and may retrieve them at the end of the night.
Dance Floor Rules
– No mosh pit-style dancing
– No flips, backflips, or acrobatics
– No climbing on shoulders
– No roughhousing or horseplay of any kind
General Conduct
– No fighting—verbal or physical
– No public displays of affection (PDA) between attendees or volunteers
– No harassment, bullying, physical assault, or discrimination of any kind
– Keep all walkways and exits clear for safety
– Dispose of all trash properly—do not litter. Our venues are rented spaces, and disrespect may jeopardize our ability to use them in the future.
Boundaries & Reentry Policy
– Once your ticket is scanned and you’ve entered the event, you must remain within the designated event boundaries.
– If you must go to your car for any reason, security or chaperone must accompany you.
– There is no re-entry. If you choose to leave the event, you will not be allowed back in for any reason.
Consequences for Violations
Failure to follow these rules will result in immediate removal from the event, with no refund. Attendees removed from an event will not be permitted to purchase tickets to future Timeless Homeschool Events.
